Chris Marchetti, Owner & CEO
Chris Marchetti is the Chief Executive Officer of Excel Courier, Inc., Excel Transportation Services, Inc., and Excel Archives of Virginia, Inc. Chris’s responsibility is to provide leadership and direction for all the companies of the Excel Group. Chris joined Excel Courier in 1984. One year later, he acquired the company and proceeded to sculpt Excel into a multifaceted business services organization serving the metropolitan areas of Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Chris’s penchant for providing exceptional service to his customers along with his buoyant management techniques account for Excel’s success and prominence in the Mid Atlantic region. Over twenty-five years have passed since Chris joined Excel. He continues to manage and direct the Excel group of companies on a daily basis.
Jeff Marchetti, Owner & CFO
Jeff Marchetti, co-founder and owner of Excel Archives, is the Chief Financial Officer of Excel Courier, Inc., Excel Transportation Services, Inc., and Excel Archives of Virginia, Inc. He is responsible for providing financial management and leadership for all the companies of the Excel Group. Jeff received his BS in Accounting from George Mason University in 1983 and began working with the Excel Group of companies in 1985. Jeff is a CPA with over twenty-five years experience in accounting, auditing, taxation and management consulting services. Jeff’s financial leadership has ensured that Excel moves in a positive and upward direction year after year.
Mike Koontz, COO
Mike Koontz, Chief Operating Officer, manages the day-to day activities of the organization with a focus on strategic, tactical, and short-term operations management. He is responsible for the development, design, operation, and improvement of the systems that create and deliver services. He joined Excel in 2001. Mike, a US Navy veteran, has more than twenty years of transportation, warehousing and logistics experience. His international logistics experience began with British Aerospace and Deutsche Post Global Mail. Mike’s focus is on all aspects of management to help achieve the goals for growth and expansion of the company.
Victor Marchetti, Controller
Victor Marchetti, Controller of the Excel Group, directs the company treasury functions and preparation of the general ledger reports that summarize the companies’ financial position. Victor is also in charge of preparing special reports required by third parties and regulatory authorities. Victor oversees the accounting and tax departments of the Excel Group. Victor began working for the Excel Group in 1986 and worked his way up the corporate ladder to his current position. The Excel Group has experienced tight internal control under Victor’s careful guidance and stewardship.
